This is my compilation of works in several mediums over the last decade. They are simple concepts that evolve as I tap into my intuition allowing the design to develop without inhabition.

I often use a base of textures applied in white thick gesso. Over that I build up color in layers of thin washes and splashes creating depth and movement. Character often develops from these random acts which I allow and enhance with added detail. At times I like to use sandpaper to remove color and bring highlights to the painting from the underlying gesso. I have yet to be disappointed with this approach.
